Mystery Chronic Illness?
Do you have ongoing health issues? Are you taking handfuls of supplements and medications just to maintain an equilibrium? Have you been told that your problems could be psychological?
Is Mercury the Root Cause?
Problems with mercury are poorly understood and under-diagnosed. They are described in the medical and toxicology literature but not yet recognized by most physicians or institutions.
The issue of mercury is controversial on two levels:
1. Recognizing that this is a real problem that is making you sick.
There is often a delay between scientific discovery and clinical practice: and mercury, testing for mercury, after the acute stage is passed, is notoriously difficult. There are also political implications, as special interest groups claim, based on flawed population studies, that the medical and dental use of mercury is safe.
2. Deciding how to work with this problem.
Most all practitioners, allopathic and alternative, will agree that the way to resolve issues with mercury and other heavy metals is through a process called "chelation." The controversy has to do with what to use and how to proceed.
What Does Mercury do to You?
Multiple health issues that nobody can figure out suggests mercury as the root cause. Symptoms will vary with the individual but can include: chronic fatigue, chemical sensitivities, fibromyalgia, immune dysfunction (e.g. Lyme disease and Candida) autoimmune diseases, allergies, food intolerances, gut dysbiosis, hormone imbalances, infertility, insomnia, tinnitus, erethism, psychiatric disorders and neurodegenerative problems including Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and Autism.
