What Happened Just Before You Got Sick? A Question Worth Asking

A couple of days ago I went into my credit union to open a bank account. At one point, the pretty young lady who helped me asked about my employment and I gave her my business card. She copied down what she needed to copy down and then returned it. “Oh no,” I said, (always looking to promote my business,) “you can keep it. You don’t look like the kind of person who buys supplements, but if you do, there is a link to my Fullscript dispensary on the back where you will save blah blah de blah and so forth.”

It turned out, she did buy supplements as she had just been diagnosed with Lyme disease. “How interesting,” said I, all my radar alerts and alarm bells going off. “What are your symptoms?” She didn’t go into detail, but she said they had affected all kinds of systems in her body, including her heart.

I asked her how she had got diagnosed and it was the same story of the super-duper special lab. She was getting treatment from a Chinese herbalist which didn’t sound too bad. (I have seen a couple of people spend minor fortunes on “Lyme literate” doctors without any improvement, and intravenous antibiotics can’t be very good for you.)

I explained about mercury. “Of course, you are the age group that got really hammered by the Thimerosal in the vaccines,” I said to her, but she told me that her parents hadn’t had much faith in them and she hadn’t been vaccinated very much.

My acutely developed sleuthing powers on alert, I thought to ask her, “Did you have any kind of traumatic event before the onset of your symptoms?” Several times I have seen people who are going along seemingly fine, when something stressful, unrelated to mercury, pitches them over into health care hell. Yes, she said, she had been attacked by a dog! She thought that the dog must have had Lyme disease and given it to her.

She went off to the teller’s booth to deposit my money and was gone for a bit. When she came back, I said to her “I don’t mean to be nosy, but when you got the dog bite, did the doctors give you a tetanus shot?” A look came over her face…Yes, she had got a DTP shot in the hospital.

I was reminded of what happened to Eric Gladen who made the movie “Trace Amounts.” He got scratched on a barbed wire fence or something and one DTP shot sent him into a whole alternative universe of mental illness and suffering. Maybe at the clinic they didn’t shake up the multi dose vial, and he got the sludge at the bottom. Who knows.

I wrote down the info about Eric Gladen. I also wrote down “Thorne adrenal cortex” because I sensed that she would benefit from that. She just looked tired. She looked like a young person who shouldn’t be tired but was. Even schlepping to the teller’s booth had cost her.

To change the subject to MOI, those of you who have been following me know that I had been chelating happily for a decade, got up to 250 mg of lipoic acid and then found amalgam “flecks” embedded in my gum. I had them removed and that pitched poor me into the aforementioned “health care hell.” All kinds of awful things happened to me over the winter, and I had to drop my chelator dose to 5 mg.

Last round, I decided to jump to 12mg. We tell people to only go up by 50%, but I had the 12s in my cupboard.

It was a very enlightening experience. For the first day, I was okay, but after that I turned into a neurotic basket case. I experienced extreme anxiety and that symptom we call “a sense of impending doom;” awful emotions. To try and fix things, I took 5 mg of supplemental HC, four adrenal cortex and 1000 mg of vitamin C. Everything calmed right down and I felt worlds better and made it to the end of the round.

The first day off-round, which was Thursday, was tough, but by Friday I was in great shape and felt fine again. For the following rounds I added in DMSA. DMSA is supposed to make things go smoother, and it did. (It also chelates lead.)

Anxiety and impending doom are horrible feelings. When they stay for a short time, you can say, “oh that is just the metals talking.” But when they stick around too long you start to believe their story.

Blessings on you, poor sick people out there, who have lived with these symptoms day in and day out for years with no one to explain to you what is happening and no one to help!
